Purplish dark red Aronia fruit is edible fresh or kept frozen. It can be used in breads, cakes, pies and food as well. As with all other fruits, it is drinkable in the form of fruit juice or tea. It can be mixed with other fruits. Jam, jelly, syrup, candy, vinegar, balsamic, salsa and barbecue sauces can be made from Aronia as well. Mixing Aronya into yoghurt, sorbet, ice cream, quark and milk adds an excellent color and flavor.

How does it taste?

Taste of Aronia is similar to other red fruits. If fully ripe, it can be as sweet as grapes and strawberries. If it is less ripe, it has a tart and astringent taste.
